World AIDS Day

December 1st. World AIDS Day.

For 20 years, an organization I've worked with has had an annual event on this day. This is the first year I am not attending. Can't shake this cold so am heading home now after work. My thoughts are of the friends I've known and lost to this disease.

Although a cure is still elusive, a viable vaccine is right around the corner.

Hope for the future while remembering those we still miss deeply.
