Inspiration is all around
Can't think of anything to draw?
• Your favorite movie/TV star/writer/historical figure
• Your favorite food
• Your favorite shoes
Whatever. There is ALWAYS something to draw. It's just that there are moments (and they will pass) when inspiration does not strike. Do it anyway.
Go on internet and google ANYTHING you like. Choose the "images" button and you'll get more than you need for the item/person you've entered. Find a picture you like. You can manipulate it (size, b & w, etc.) and then print it out.
"Isn't that illegal?"
If you are using it to practice, no.
If you are going to sell your artwork, go an Internet and learn more about the line between fair use and copyright infringement.
I found a great photo of Whoopie Goldberg and thought I'd give this a shot. A few minutes on the train every day, eraser (and pencil for touch-ups) in hand. And, no, in reality she does not have a pencil across her face. This was in my sketchbook and the other side bled through. Sorry, Whoopie.
