Old T-shirts?

Old clothes? Lots of things you could do with them.

Giving them to someone who needs them comes at the top of the list.

But sometimes, there are too many holes or stains, and no one would want them. If you do mixed media, fabric art, or just like to have fun experimenting, take those old clothes and cut them up into different shapes or strips, get a canvas or a piece of heavy card stock, and some glue. Have fun arranging the colors on the surface, and then glue them down.

Or, weave the strips of fabric into long cords. If you have several long pieces (12"/ 30cms or so), sew them together to make a wall hanging. A long time ago, people used to use old pieces of fabrics to weave rugs in that way.

You might also use a larger piece of fabric as the background for a collage piece or mixed media project.

And, of course, there is always quilting!
