Every failure...

When work overwhelms, there are times you fall a bit behind. Allow that to happen, and go back to your path. Don't sink the ship, but make adjustments and get back on course.

I've missed a couple of blogging days, but that doesn't mean I was not productive. It was on a bumpy morning train to work, but I did manage a few sketches. Today, I have time to work on the portrait of the woman.

Keep the goal in mind. Feel how much you want it. Let that motivate you to take some action - lift the pencil, open the tube of paint, stand at the easel, and do something. Set a minimum of time to work as your goal, and you may find yourself an hour later, feeling refreshed and knowing that you have made progress.

Need a little inspirational video?

Here's one. It's 60s seconds long. Watch it. Then pull out those art supplies!
