A warm lap in winter

Well, it's not winter yet, at least not here in Japan, but it is getting cooler.

Pets. Art studio. Hmm, interesting combination.

If you have pets, other than fish in an aquarium or birds in cages, in other words, little critters that can wander around, you have to take some precautions to avoid accidents. Thinners, sharp objects, heavy objects that can fall over, pencils, delicious erasers - all of them have to stay out of the mouths or paths of our little furry/scaly friends.

One of my cats, Chu, is getting up there in years. It is now 23C/72F outside during the day and 12/ 50F-something at night. This morning, she curled up in my lap as I was drawing. She keeps me warm (or the other way around?), but it is a little challenging when you have to reach for something or get up to retrieve something in the other room. Sigh.

And the long winter months approach.
