Whether you are new to the art world, a frustrated beginner, or a seasoned professional, have a listen to this podcast hosted by Lisa Clough and John Middick.

I'm a little bit past the frustrated beginner stage but not yet reaching the professional level. For me, these podcasts are informative, instructional, and inspiring. Lisa's philosophy on the "how" of creating art (in any way you want, with any tools you want, used [pretty much] the way you want) is refreshing when you are browsing YouTube and find so many artists who believe there are specific things one must do to create a piece of art.

Lisa says, "For me, art has never been about some elitist idea of the “right” way to create. It’s art!! There is no wrong way to create!" Quite liberating, that thought. The more you practice, the better you become. Try new things. Try old things in a new way. Just. Keep. Trying.

The Sharpened Artist web site (hosted by John Middick) can be found at http://sharpenedartist.com. The blog has a lot of great tips as well -> http://sharpenedartist.com/cpblog/
