A bolt out of the gray

At some point last year, I became interested in metallic surfaces and started playing around with them in my calendar sketchbook. This bolt took a few days to finish, and even though it would never be useful in real life because the top is bent, it was good experience in an initial attempt at lights and darks in a metallic object. 2B graphite.
